about
I have been singing this song since I was seven years old. My dad and his creative partner and best friend, Mark, wrote this song as part of a musical and it was a regular tune in my home for a long time.
It is as much my heart's song today as it was back then. Sung here as a lullaby, this song connects me to my father and my son every time I sing it.
Who is your Elaria?
One of the great gifts of my life was to be able to record this song with my father. I am forever grateful that he came out of retirement to join me on piano.
lyrics
Searching through the stars at night
for someone lonely like me
I saw you and the stars turned bright
My Elaria
Soft is the sunlight on your hair
cheeks so sweet, I'm longing to touch
Maybe I long for you too much
My Elaria
Though September winds may blow
through the forest to the sea
In our corner of the universe
You'll be safe with me
Everything I've ever dreamed
I have found right where you are
Sun and moon and shining start
My Elaria
